Default Tire size, what u running

Wanting to put some big rear tires on my WS6. I have the stock wheels 17X9.5 and would like to run something bigger than the stock 275/40/17 tires. What would you guys suggest. I will put a spacer on if I need to, but I dont want to but wider wheels I just want some more traction. Any input would be great.

I have 17x9.5in ZO6 rims. Im running 285/40ZR17 GoodYear Eagle F1 GSD3. I like these tires alot. They are great in the rain. They are wide too. If I have the money I will buy again if not. Ill get the KDW's or Kumho MX in the same size.

285/40/18 on the WS6. Stumbled into a limited private run of Michelin Pilot Sports in this size. No rubs or issues.

Otherwise I have been running 275/40/18 P-Sports's because when you jump up to the 285 (40 series 18") there are only 3 choices, Pirelli, Toyo, and Bridgestone.

One thing worth noting at least in the 40 series 18" tire. When you go up to the 285 from a 275, the sidewall transition seems to be more rounded transitioning to the tread (not squared off as much). I noticed this big time on the Toyo Proxes T1 285's and even so on the 285 P-Sports. I have not looked at the newer Toyo's T1R or T1S.

Nope. 285 is about the widest you can go within manufacture's recommendations . . .
