Default Z28 rims

I am thinking of getting Nitto 555 extremes on my camaro

#1 I know the Camaros rear differential isnt that strong, I was gonna ask, if it isnt a wise choice to get the 555 extremes on it or not?

#2 If it is a wise choice would P275/50R 16s fit on tha rim of the Z28? I have the snowflake rim ( dunno the real name)

I was planning on putting P245 front and P275 Rears of the Nitto 555 series, but not the drag radials, just the extremes, because the drag radials would surely destroy my diff.

If none of this works out, can anyone suggest me good tires to put on my car?

I am bone stock, besides my K&N filter and soon getting an SLP airlid.

But I need my tires really soon.

Thanks for all the help.

Just get the 245/50/16 nitto drags. That's what I have on my stock Z28. Never had any complaints. You shouldn't worry about running the drag radial too much. Plenty of people use them for street use. Very good grip and pretty long tread life.

M6's are hard on gears, so be carefull with the DR's.
these were broken with BFG G-Force T/A KDW Street Tires. the other 10 sets of gears were tossed before I snapped this pic.
Car that broke these was a bolt-on 96 LT1 Trans Am.

probably not, but it's hard to say since it is all about traction and driveline shock.
most of the gears broke when going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.
