Default Question on using motorcycle tires for skinnies

Hey guys, I've got kind of a unique problem. My car is kind of a dual purpose machine, road track and drag strip use. I've put bigger brakes up front, so now only 17" front wheels will work on it. I'd like to get a set of skinnies for it, but of course no one makes a skinny 17" tire for cars. I know the wheels would have to be a special, either narrowed stock or maybe a three piece aftermarket like the Kodiaks.

I seem to remember reading somewhere about someone running some motorcycle tires for skinnies. I tried the search feature but could not find it, can anyone point me to a thread where I could find more information on this ?

TIA !

Tim
