Question What psi and rpm should I be at to launch with Nitto 555r's?

I went to the track yesterday and ran my car for the first time. It was also my first time going down the track...ever. Needless to say, I could have done a lot better. My best 1/4 et was 13.076 My best 60' time was 2.0928 Those are out of 3 runs. Both were on the 3rd run. I have 315/35/17 Nitto Drags on the rear. What RPM should I be launching at? What psi should my tires be at? Please help.

I run my 275/40/17 Nitto 555Rs at 17psi at the track and launch at 2500 (at time still had 10bolt) but don't dump the clutch ride it out just a little I call it a controled dump, and I cut a lot of 1.8 60fts

FWIW I've got the 315 Nitto DRs on my car (auto though) I run them around 22 psi (hot)...with good track prep, healthy 8-10 second burnout, I brake the car @ 2K rpm, can floor it outta the hole and my convertor flashes around 3200. Doing this cut a best of a 1.76 60'

I did a search on this last week, and the average was 18lbs.

I run my 275/40/17 at 16 lbs and cut 1.73 60' with a M6. I launch it at 2600 and slip the clutch out of the hole. Hope this helps

I just got off the phone with a Nitto tech and he said to run 23-25 psi for best traction.

I'm told that since its still a radial tire, lowering the pressure is counter-productive and you should raise it instead for launching? Any truth to this?

My 2 cents... threw down a 1.9 60' with my 555rII's at 35PSI, didn't want to deal with tire pressure that day, haven't been back since to try something lower. Also have a hell of a suspension setup

What's the setup? I saw your other post about the Nittos and wondered.
