how does everyone prep their tt2s before they paint them....i'm going to paint the spokes onmine

doesn't anyone know how to prep them and what kind of paint they use....i was going to just use basecoat clear coat, and sand them w/ a grey scotchbrite and 800 grit sand paper.....do you guys prime them tho or what do u do when you paint wheels.......and i'm not going to use spray paint

Sounds like you have the right steps, a nice prime coat would help too.

I first masked off the lip, used 320 grit sand paper, then washed and dried them. I used graphite and clear Dulpicolor wheel paint. No primer was required with this paint. People say it looks professional. I would suggest lots of clearcoat to protect the paint and keep it glossy.
