Default 315/35 with 17x9.5?

I was wondering if I can put 315/35 tires with 17x9.5 rims in my 1994 TA. Any of you guys have done it?

so what do you recommend for 17x9.5 and 17x8.5? I have currently 275/40's on all four but I don't like the way the front wheels look in comparison with the ones in the back.

If you gotta have the 315/, i'd recommend a 17x11 or x10.5 wheel to fit the 315's without running the risk of the tire falling off the wheel.
