eagle f1s
I started to notice that my right front wheel the outer edge is nearly gone. The tires have 14000 mi on them. Tires are stock and originals. So now I have to buy two new fronts so they can align it. The thing is, I never recall hitting anything.
I was wondering if this was a factory defect or maybe a defective rim. SLP option zr1 wheels. Now I gotta search for some f1s at a decent price. I would get maybe a different brand but the rears are still good. Dont want no mis match.

Stock F1's are garbage. If you had to have a matching set then I guess you could go back with the same F1's but you would be better of getting a completely different set. Just my .02

D3's are the best but you pay for them. They are hands down much better than the stock F1's. My stock F1's did the same thing and I noticed it before they became really worn on the edges. I took it in for an alignment check and the toe in was off from GM. I never hit anything or the like. I've had perfect tire wear since the alignment.

I asked at a goodyear shop around here, just cause I was there, about price. A 275/40/17 D3 through them would have been $246 a piece! Discount Tire Direct the same size is $211, $206 at Tire Rack but they charge for shipping, discount does not. I got some 285/40/17's from a friend who has a distributer account with tire rack, and got those for $200 a piece. That was 2 years ago though.

I know I wouldn't like them as they have too soft of a sidewall. I prefer tires like the BFG KD (not KDW or KDWS).
My old Toyo T1-S's hooked VERY well, but I hated them because of the super soft sidewall.
