Default Trans Am wheels good deal

I can buy a set of chrome Trans Am wheels for $200. Should I do it? Is it a good deal?

The tires are bald and I have my own tires anyway. It would be just for the wheels basically even though the tires come with them. They are 16".

I'd take the same $200 and put another $300 to get some '96-'00 WS6 rims.

Sell your stock ones with rubber for $300 and buy some tires for the 17"ers

You'll have about $1000 in wheels and rubber getting $300 back from the sale of the 16"stuff.

That's just me.

I just sold my 16" Trans Am rims with good tires for $100 but I let them go waaayyy cheap. $200 sounds ok as long as they're in good shape.

Well Im not really into the whole bling wheel look so Im not going to spend 1000 on wheels and tires. Im saving for a full exhaust headers, y pipe and catback. I would do it just to upgrade to chrome. So I guess 200 is an average deal then. The guy said they are in good shape but Ill definitely look at them before I buy them.

Read your post: I'm not into the whole bling wheel look.... and a sentence after you state that you just want to upgrade to chrome.

WTF?

16s are not bling. TA's are pretty wide and you need at least a 275 before they look good, 245's belong on smaller car IMO. Take Firehawk#608's advice.

Okay so I guess 16" chrome is bling to you. Well it is NOT to me. My friend is upgrading his 16" Trans Am wheels to Z06 wheels, he asked me if I would buy them for $200. I said I'd think about it. I dont really want to spend $1000 on wheels and tires, but since theyre a little nicer than my stock Formy wheels, I think I am going to do it. No Im not being hypocritical. I would rather put $1000 into my full exhaust as stated above.

Hu....So should I put my stock 16" chrome rims on ebay? I'd love to get like $200 or more for just the rims. Think I could get that? How much for shipping with and W/O tires?

Yeah do it. Someone might buy them for their Formula or Firebird like I am doing.
