help out the NBM guys!!!
well as said before, unless youve got 3grand to dump on some CCW's, NBM is a hard color to pick wheels for...
i'd like to get some opinions, comparing all the wheels ive considered. if you could vote, and give me and any other NBM owner some advice/info, i'd appreciate it!
my options are:
tt2's: 17x9.5/17x11
ZR1's: 17x9.5/17x11
chrome Y2K's: 18x9.5/18x10.5
chrome zo6's: 18x9.5/18x10.5
black zo6 motorsports: 18x9.5/18x10.5

no black wheels on NBM, just no. go chrome. i say TT2's for sure. but i like these two here. that one looks good, even with those dark wheels i love it and they are cheap off of ebay! the other ones are expensive i know, can't remember who makes them.

those sportmax wheels do look good, but i dont think they would look good on a trans am... plus i kinda want wider than a 9.5 in the rear.
as for the second picture, those are very nice wheels, but im sure they are well over 2 grand for a set, lol... im guessing they are HRE's?

also the only thing i dont like about tt2's, is they are polished, i really dont want to go through the hassle of keeping them looking good, and i dont have alot of time to spend on the wheels... and they would get dirty very fast, i live in arizona and my car is a DD.

All those are ok, but everyone and their mom has Z06's (including myself but im looking into some iforged or intro) and TT2's. I would recommend trying something else like iforged, intro, bonspeed, etc..

as mentioned above, i dont have the money to blow on wheels like iforged, intro, HRE, or CCW... yes they are nice, but i cant see spending that much on wheels, that can potentially get damaged, or stolen.

Here is what my NBM looked like with the ZR1's. These were 17.9.5 all the way around.
Here is my car now with C6 Z06 in Chrome 18 x 9.5 all the way around. I only have these closeups at the moment no overall shots. Hope to get some overall complete shots this weekend.
Good luck on your wheel selection! I went through this back in Feb and it drove me nuts for weeks! In the end I went with TomZWheels. His prices for knock off's are tough to beat.

I went the ZR1 route with mine. It's a really classy look. I took a long look at getting a set of gunmetal ZR1's, but these wheels came along and the deal was too good to pass up. I'd love a sit of Fikse FM5's, but $3K on rims doesn't sit well with me.

there are definately fewer NBM pontiacs rather than z's or SS's... i dont know why. it kind of sucks because its a PITA to find good pictures of NBM trans ams with aftermarket wheels. thats why i made this thread lol

i like the black/NBM look, but i think ill get tired of that look after a while, and ill start wanting the clean look of chrome again... plus, i'd have to see it in real life, to see how it looks at all angles with the paint and what not, seeing as NBM can change from a bright metallic blue to a dark purple

I think a set of these would look absolutely SICK on a NBM car:
Here's the specs:
Finish: Hyper Light
Bolt Pattern: 5x120
Wheel Size: (F) 18x8.5 (R) 18x9.5
Availability: In Stock
Warranty: 1 Year
Price: (F) $199.00 (each)
(R) $139.00 (each)
only $74
(4 Wheels)
price:
$676.00 <-----Price of 4 wheels
$750.00
(4 Wheels)
they can be found here: http://www.wheelmax.com/product.asp?...9.5&Prod2P=139
Okay now check this out: what I would do is buy a set of these at $676.00, (shipping is included in that price), and take the 8.5's and send them here to have them widened to 11 inches:
www.weldcraftwheels.com
That will cost $400. So for about the same price as a set of TT2's or some Z06's, you could have a unique set of wheels that are in the size range you want. I've had my wheels widened by those guys and they do top notch work and their turnaround time was only a week. Just an idea of how you could get a non played-out set of wheels for a decent amount.

dude im in the same boat, i was going to get TT2's but, since everyone has them i decided not too. im saving my money and either getting boyd's or CCW's. those are the only two that i think look good and havent been completely worn out.

most NBM t/a's are completely stock ws6's... its hard to come by any NBM trans am with aftermarket wheels, as said above.
kevano26- i would love to do CCW's too, but i dont have the money to blow on those... plus, these "played out" wheels, are played out for a reason, because they look great and are cheap, so thats the route im forced to go lol. plus theres not many of those wheels around my area
