Default how many spacers can i use??

i put a 9inch out of a 3rd gen camaro in my car. everything bolts up fine.
only prob is, is the 9inch is not as wide as the stock 10bolt. my 4th gen wheels wont work, but my third gens do. now, i noticed i need like an extra 1" of spacing to safely clear where my bumpstops used to be, (i took em out and did the BFH mod, even cut out the bump stop mounts, real clean) anyway, the studs are 2"x 1/2" racing studs. can i use like 1 " worth of spacers to make my 4th gen wheels clear, or is it too much?" spacers are like 1/4" or 5/16" each. i have plenty of stud left to safely tighten lugs too (bout an inch) all help appreciated!!!!!

I'd get a bolt-on adapter. That'd be the safest way to go.

DITTO.... ....... I have 2 - 1" wheel adapters on order. [ I am sure 1/4-1/2 spacers would be okay though--wouldn't go any bigger ]

I may have a pair of those. I've got 3-4 different sets lying around. I know I've got some 1 1/4", I'd just have to go through some boxes and see what all I have. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
