Default Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 vs. General Exclaim UHP

Well after doing some searching I have found nothing but bad things about the Kumho 712, but I have found nothing about the General Exclaim so I figured I would post a poll. Keep in mind that I can get these tires at about $150 a piece for either one so price isnt an issue here. The size will be a 275/30/19.

I know both tires probably suck, but I have DRs for the track so Im not worried about it. So vote away!!

yeah they both suck real bad

ride like crap, vibrate, and have no traction

i know this from personal experience

the least expensive tire i would go with and still get decent qualtiy is a bfg gforce sport

I checked a few tire sites and couldnt find them in my size. Im pretty sure that they would be out of my price range anyway.

I am very happy with the G force Sports. Miles ahead of the Kumho's that came off the car. The difference between a set of good tires and kumho's is night and day. I could never go back to bargin tires again.

ive had the kumhos for 2 cars now, in 16s and 17s, but they do not hook up worth a ****, especially when wet. i liked the price and tread design though, becuase i was more for looks than speed, but once the kumhos get about halfway wore, they track terrible, just so you know

Damn ill tell you my opinion.

Kuhmo for sure, you get what you pay for when you but tires.

I have never had bad problems with Kuhmos, but i never really raced on them or anything. I think they are a great tire for what you pay for them.

I like the General Exclaims I have on my Sonoma. 245/45/17 H rated. I'd like to try the UHP's for my Camaro but don't think they make them in 275/40/17. This is the third summer on the Generals and they are wearing well and handle excellent for an H rated tire. They have good dry traction and do pretty well in the wet for a light in the rear pickup. They were a low cost tire that was made in the US vs the crappy Korean made Kumhos.

I had great performance for the money out of the 712's. I think I had them in stock (235/50/16) size.

My friends car came with some exclaims on his stock 16s.His car stock could get sideways into 3rd.So not the best for traction but I dont think the Kumhos will be either.Since there bothe bad for traction I d just go with the cheapest

The wheels I just bought came with the Kumho 712's. I wouldn't say they are absolute ****. Hell, they are lightyears ahead of the Winstons (who whaa??) that were on the old wheels.

I've been driving on the Kumho's for 3 days now and like them. I can't really comment about the road noise because all I hear is either exhaust note or tunes, but doesn't seem any worse than any other tire. About them tracking bad, after putting these on it actually tracks straight now compared to before when there was a slight drift to the right.

As far as traction... I mean you're getting 275/30/19. No matter what, traction will be limited.

If you want to compare them to top dollar BFG's or Goodyears then duh they are going to seem sucky, but I'm happy

Mine are 275/40/17 though so I can't vouch for the 19's.

Seriously, they both suck. There are other better tires in that size that don't cost a whole lot more and are much better tires, DUnlop SP 9000 or the Kumho SPT for example.
