traction question debating whether to go with a wide 17x11 or get a pair of Y2K's with 18x9.5 in the rear.
my question is, say i go with the GS-D3 tires... how would my traction compare between a 315/35/17 and a 275/40/18?? has anybody had experience with 17's and 18's and noticed a difference in traction?

forgot to mention, i will rarely take my car to the track... its never been before and im not hardcore into racing, but i do sometimes get into scuffles on the street, so ill need something that atleasts hooks decently
