stock wheels on extended arp studs

stock wheels on extended arp studs have 12mmx1.5, 3.25in long arp studs. i want to mount my chrome zr1 wheels on there for when im not at the track. i have the stock acorn style closed ends lugs, also have the shank style open end lugs for the welds. how can i mount the zr1s? can i just cut the end of the acorn lugs?
