Default Tires affecting driveability

I went to drive a '99 Z28 intereste din buying it. It has 06 corvette rims on it and they are absolutely massive width wise. I forgot the specs but they are huge.

When driving ( dad driving) Without your hand on the steering wheel the car would be absolutely all over the place bceuase the tires were grabbing every little crack and spot in the road, it felt ok when your hand is on the wheel but otherwise its like you cant take your hand off the wheel on a semi-bumpy road or you most olikely will crash.

Is this normal for this large of rim to do this? Ive never drove a car with anything but stock rims...just wondering if it was normal.

Yes, It Is Normal, But Why Would You Want To Drive Without Your Hands On The Wheel Anyway?

I agree its the cost of wide wheels you really get use to it. 18x10 w/ 285/35/18 and 18x12 in the back with 335/30/18
