Default anyone have experiece on 27" tall tires?

Just like it says, I have some 16" Z28 rims that I plan to use with some MT Streets, the almost slick kind. Just curious to know if I can fit the 27x10.5x16 without having to modify the car. If not a good idea, I'll be getting the 26x10.5x16.

Right now, stock. But with the 9" I plan on getting I'm deciding on 3.73's or 4.10's. The thing is, I don't want to have to hit 5th gear in the 1/4 while spraying.

My question is though, did you have to "modify" the fender lip or anything. That's more my concern than the gearing. I mean if I can fit it w/o having to mod anything, I'll get the 4.10's. If that's a problem, then I'll get 26's and 3.73's.

Yeah, they will fit with no problem. I have ran these on my car at the track for the past year and a half with no problems! I have a 12 bolt with 3.73's and they work great! I am planning on bumping up to 4.11's soon though because I am going to run bigger tires! If I were you I would get the bigger gears. Trust me I wish that I would have went with 4.11's now. You should have plenty of RPM's depending on how much you spray.

Thanks. I also tested my buddies skinny prostars from his GN. Even with spacers, I'll have to grind. That sucks.
