Default Polishing up 8 year old Welds......what a PITA

So I let them go for a while, bunch of oxidation on them. I bought the Mothers Powerball and polish, didn't do ****.
I tried doing it by hand, that didn't work either.
I wound up having to go to Home Depot and I bought a cloth buffing wheel and a soft metal abrasive. (both made by RYOBI)
Took about 3 applications of the abrasive and 2 applications of the Mothers Powerball per wheel to get them shined up nice.
Took about 1 hour per wheel.
I'm not letting them go that bad again, what a job!

i have a set of polished y2k rims that were terribly oxidized (close to 4 years worth ) . The Mothers Power Ball and power metal polish did an outstanding job on them.

ha i got stuck trying to bring back 10yr old rims and nothing would get the job done quick enough. grabbed some 2k grit and wetsanded them and then went from there with the cloth wheel. now they bling pretty damn good but you can see where my mom curbed/nicked them and im too lazy to remove all the imperfections.
