Question HP Evo 18x9 front & back

Looking for advice from those of you who are running HP Evos in 18x9 both front & back.

Will 275/35/18 tires work on the fronts? Any rubbing issues?

Thanks,

DMark

That is the perfect size for front and rear. You can rotate them and they wont rub.

I would think that also since the 275/35/18s are almost the same in size as the 275/40/17s used on the WS6 cars.

I'm asking because TireRack and others recommend running 18x8 in the front with 245/40/18s.

Thanks for the reply..., anybody else have any experience with 18x9s all the way around?

18" x 9" wheels with a 275/35ZR18 is a PERFECT fit. Same OD as stock.

But so is a 18" x 8" with a 254/40ZR18 . . . .

Default got me?

The guy I got them rims from said they were 18x9.5" When I check web sites I only see them 9.5" on 19" rims. I ran a tape measure through it at and it come up 9.5". I know that is not the most accurate way to measure them, but it's the best I got right now. I measured it from where it rolls in on both sides(like Summit Racing catalog says how to measure).

I know it doesn't help much........sorry.

first of all you can only get 18" rims with a width of 9 inches, the 19's you can get 9.5 inches width

Modified, you cannot measure a rim like that, thats why your reading is incorrect.

With a 18X9 inch rim go with a 275 or 285!

Question

FLAWLS1T/A,

Those rims look great but..., what size tires are those? They don't look to be 275 or 285.

What were these old tire sizes?
Looks like you have new tires now and it looks much better. What size are the new ones?

I have 19x9.5 HP Racing HPR5's on all four corners on my car with 275/30/19 tires. I have no rubbing issues at all and the car is lowered as well. The only problem i have is the 19" 275's were substantially narrower than my old 275/40/17 KDW's.

I might step up to 285's with the 19's to offset it. Has anyone else noticed this with larger diameter tires in regards to width?

It might just be a difference in the brands.

Nevermind, I think the skinny one's were 255/30/19, right? Now you have 275/30/19.
