Default 265/35's on 18x9.5...will it work?

I went to the local rim and tire shop and they can do me a really good deal on some 17/18 Chrome Z06 rims. The only problem is that they only recommend putting on a 265/35 in the back and a 245/45 on the front. I was hoping to get a wider tire on the back, but after seeing the price difference in tires (bout 50 per back tire) to step up to the 275 I am wondering if the 265/35 will look alright and be a wide enough tire. Please let me know.

yeah i have 265/35/zr18 on my 18x9.5 and it looks fine. a 275 or 285 would look a lot better but it works either way

ok i appreciate it guys. I think that I might just order the rims and tires off of the net and get the tires I want. I am looking at BF Goodrich g-Force Sport's in 245/45/17 and 275/35/18 which I think will look really good and should be a great tire. Then I can get the rims from Tomzwheels. I was trying to go local just in case there were problems and to give the local guy some money but after the different tire setups they wanted me to run i don't really feel comfortable. Would you pay more money to have a local place do it (go to Discount Tire instead) and have them do it for reassurance?

275 40 18 has more meat and is cheaper than the other 265's and 285's. I just hate the look of more side wall in the front and less in the rear. just my 2 cents
