has anyone tried this?
i run across these spacer/adapters on ebay. they are made to slip over factory wheel studs, bolt on with lugnuts (that do come with the spacers), then the wheel bolts onto it. instead of spending several hundred buck on 17x11's and tires, does anyone see anything wrong with using these spacers to push my factory 9.5's out in the back just a little (they are available in 1", 1.25", 1.5", and 2" thickness). heres the link

Guess I'm not understanding why you want to push out the stock size rims? If it's just to install wider tires - any SAFE & APPROVED tire size for the stock wheels will fit in the wheel wells.
If you're looking to get much wider tires, then the only proper way to do it is to go with the 17x11 wheels with 315/35's. That combo will fit with only minor 'massaging' of the inner wheel well in one spot each side.
Installing wider tires than are recommended for rim width is definitely not a thing to do - but then again, it's your car, your life...

no no, the point is i dont want to buy wider tires or wheels. just use the spacer to push the factory wheels out just a little. to make the wheels look like 11's instead of 9's

Ah, I get ya. Well as long as the bolt pattern is correct, I like the style of spacer that you reference.
The style that just slide over your existing lugs (which means you either have a much shorter lug to work with or have to install longer studs) are not as nice.

ive seen someone use those with 17x9 ws6 wheels on a TA on this board. and he did recommend them. since you want to push out stock wheels use the ones you referenced since there 1" thinkl the ones i mentioned are for say 18x10.5's with a +58 BS, the 15mm spacer would make them flush with the fender

anybody have a pick of what they would look like on the stock 16x8 rims? i always though the rears looked like they go in too far and i'd like to have em more flush with the fenders...
since people use 1" on the 9.5 rims, would i be better off going with 2" spacers for the my 16x8 rims to get the effect i want?
