Default biggest DR for Firehawks

I have firehawk rims, I currently have 275 pirellis and they don't hook at all, can i go up to 305, 335 or possibly bigger? I am thinkin about nittos atm.

Do not put a bigger tire on a 9" wheel. If you want 315's get an 11" wheel.

Get a DR tire, like BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial, or Nitto's. Then you'll have to worry about getting caught in the rain. If this is your daily driver I'd get some drag wheels with some E/T Streets.

Peace,
Craig.

get a 275 nitto, its not how wide it is that helps you hook, its mainly the compound of the tire. get nittos or et street radials

I think i am gonna go with nittos then, how does their traction compare to goodyear f1 gs dts or whatever they are called of comparable size. I realize that the goodyears are street tires but they would be my second choice after the nittos. I still want to be able to handle well with the drag radials (do they hurt handling at all?)

Then pick up a set of RII nittos they have the same tread compound and pattern as the DR's but a stiffer sidewall.

The DR's you will feel at first kinda sloppy but you get used to it pretty quick. Anything under 70 is pretty easy at high speeds I don't trust them as much for handling...

The sidewalls have a lot of give but of course the tread compound is very sticky ... so they don't feel great but they grip pretty well.
