Default Anybody run 315/35/18s

I'm looking into getting 18 x 10.5's rear rims and running
35 series 18's rather than the 30 series because the 30s would be shorter than my front tires by about 1/2 inch,
so I wanna know if these tires would fit, I'm expecting to do the BFH mod.

I think you're just making it harder to fit them

Well, that is close to being a 27" diameter tire if I'm not mistaken. It should fit, I know people have gone all the way up to 28"+ tires. Are you lowered? What offset on the wheels?

And what front tire size do you run?

NO,
I'm not lowered, and the wheels would be either 50 or 53 offset,
I'm running 285 40 17's in all fours right now.

How is steering with 285s up front? it must track every groove in the road.

I run a 295/35 -18x10 in back and a 265/35 -18x9 in the front and my car is lowered with a Eibach ProKit. I had to borrow the fender roller from a cool dude on here so the rear tires wouldnt rub but once I did I have no problems with it. Hope that helps

You will mess up your ABS if you run mixed matched height tires.

And 27" will not clear in the front.

As for wandering all over the road. I have 315's all around and it just really depends on your alignment and of course the condition of the road.

To me the worst part was that the wider tires would pick up more debris and throw it up. That's more annoying than anything.

It's ok to run 2 different sizes as long as the difference in diameter is not too large. My car has approximately 0.4" difference in height between front and back (275/40R17 & 295/35R18) and the ABS works perfectly.

I agree about the wide tires, my tires pick up everything on the road and throw it up onto the body, its a little annoying but not terribly.

Try driving with DR's all around. Sounds like a high school kid trying to get his girlfriend to come to the bedroom window

I am more than happy with my 295/35ZR18's . . . the wider the tire, more problems IMHO . .

I can imagine . I run street tires so I don't have that problem, but I had nittos and BFG DR's before so I know what you mean.

Out of curosity, got any pics? I went with 295 over 315 because with my offset (OEM Z06 wheels), I was afraid the 315's would stick out too much.

OK, so you do have the 315 35 18 rears, what do you have up front and did you bang the hell out of the rear fenders?

IMO there is no real difference between 295 and 315 it's the width of the wheel that will pull the tire one way or the other.

I would not go with 35's in 18 too tall.

Go 295's all around so you can rotate your tires. Or 295 front with 315 rears.
Do like Turo and use four 18" rear Z06's

Which by the way I have for sale. (four OEM GM Z06 rears)

Here is a pic of my car with 315's all around!!!

In case you are also worried about going wider in the back I also have fender roller tools for rent.

I am running a 295/30/18 tire in the rear (10.5" rim) and a 265/35/18 tire in front (9.5" rim). My rears have ~45mm o/s and I don't have any rubbing issues what-so-ever. I am thinking about trying a 315/30/18 rear tire next while either staying with the 265/35/18 tire in front or going to a 275/35/18. A 315/30/18 and 265/35/18 have almost identical diameters.

Here are a couple pics....I have more on my site

Thanks for the pics, they help quite a bit,
