Default Tire Size

So I'm finally getting rid of the ugly salad shooters and ordering stuff as you read this.
Why do you get 30 or 35s in the back and 40s up front and not 40 front and back? I'm going with BFG DRs in the rear and radials up front.
Thanks

Most people running 40's up front and 35's out back have a 275 tire up front and a 315 out back- like me

Thanks for clearin that up, I searched the stickies for a while and didn't see that question....cuz I know it hurts to ask lol

I just ordered TTIIs 17x9.5 all around with 255s in the front and 275 DRs (BFG) out back. Going to be sooo much better than my current stockers and 245s

np, so long as the over-all tire diameters are equal front and rear...that's the ultimate goal. ie 275/40/17 = 25.7" and 315/35/17= 25.7". That way the ABS systems don't flip out.
