Default Need wheels

Well time for new tires and im thinkin about upgrading to some 17s, dont wanna get 18s because im afraid itll sit to high and force me to lower the car which i cant do because of where i live (MASSIVE speed bumps, horrible roads, and giant hills). Looking to get the widest 17" in the back possible w/o rubbing and without modification and same for the front. Any suggestions?

18's wont raise the car up anymore than 17's the tire that you choose makes the diffrence. just keep the overall diameter the same and you just get a lower profile tire and more rim but the ride hight stays the same just like 245/50/16 (25.64) and 275/40/17 (25.66)have the same wheel diameter a 285/35/18 will be almost exactly the same at (25.85) just .19 larger side by side you might notice the diffrence, other than that you wont you won't alot of guys run 295/35/18 which is 26.129 and .469 larger about the size of your thumb nail in diamter (no noticible diffrence)

Good luck, here is a link http://www.americanracing.com/techce...Calculator.htm
