Default Nitto 15 inch drag radials

Nitto 555R 325/50R15 drag radials

Okay... Who is running this tire? What wheels are you using?

How many horses are you putting down and how is your traction with that level of power? What 60ft's are you getting?

What, if any, modifications did you have to make to your car to run these? Any tubbing, spacers, suspension, or brake grinding?

What wheels/tires are you running on the front? Anyone running functional ABS on these tires and if so what tires are you running up front?

What tire life are you getting? Same as other Nittos (~15,000 miles)?

Has anyone run 245/50R16 nittos before running these tires? If so, was your handling compromised over the 16's? A nitto rep said that handling would improve with these 15's over the 16's, but that doesn't sound right...

Is there anything else to know about these tires?

Oh and, of course, post pictures if you got 'em!

EDIT: Due to lack of response on the 325/50R15 tire size, I am opening up this discussion to ANY 15" Nitto tire.

I have never heard of Nittos in that size. I always thought the biggest DR they made was the 275/60/15.

Nittos dont run that wide at all, I say go with 315's though. It would probably be a little cheaper and they are about the same size.

Wow... Must be a new size. I have run Nittos in 275/50/15, 275/40/17 and still run 315/35/17s on my Camaro. Nittos are great street tires, they hook better than any real street tire and they last a pretty long time. You can even drive them in the rain as long as there is decent tread left. I don't have any experience with the 325/50/15, but I highly reccomend the Nitto drag radials for a great street and strip tire.

I spotted them in September of last year on their web site so they've been out for at least that long. I'm surprised that they're still so unknown.

Seeing how its for a 15" wheel, I doubt it. Most people who spend $ on lightweight 15" drag wheels won't even consider these and will go straight to the MT's.

Is blackhawk right? Nobody runs these tires?

On paper, it looks like they will provide better traction than other nittos and last more than 15K miles. That doesn't appeal to anyone besides me?

If nobody is running the 325/50R15, then I would like to hear what anyone has to say on any of the other 15" nitto tires.

From what I've heard, 17" tires give less traction than 16" ones. If so, then 15 inchers are the only way to go for those looking for more traction but who still daily drive and want 15K+ miles out of a tire.

What 275's were you running? The 275/50's or 275/60's?

275/40/17. I wouldn't buy nitto. The only reason i did was the fact of mileage but that doesn't matter to me anymore. All nitto drags no matter what the size is seem to hook the same.

Wow, 325/50/15's not hooking better than 275/40/17's? That sucks! Anyone have any idea why that would be?

Can anyone else confirm or deny that 325/50/15's (or other 15" nittos) will not hook better than 275/40/17 nittos?

If so that is extremely odd, given that people around here say that 245/50R16 nittos will hook better than 275/40/17 nittos...
