Im switching to a 28inch tire because im putting an a4 in the car and i have 411 rear gears. I have a 26 by 10inch et drag on now and im planing on running a 28x10 et drag. How much if any mods do i need to fit this tire?

To fit a 28x10.5 ET Drag for example, you will need to BFH sections of the inner fenderwells, deburr all the edges, and probably pull back the rear bumper cover by drilling a hole in the plastic and running a wire to the body... does that last part make sense? Looks better if you pull it back vs. cut some of it off.

I ran however the A4 + 4.10 combo on 26's for a while, the rpms were not crazy at all driving around.

Yea, BFH mod will definatly have to be done. I have 28x12.50 ET Streets on mine. Had to cut some of the bumper away, just the inside part that gets close to the tire. The outside shape is still there. adjustable lower control arms would make it easier too, had to move mine back alittle so I wouldn't worry about the tire swelling at high speeds and cutting on the metal quarter. But the car has been driven in excess of 125mph without anything rubbing. But as far as the rpm for 4:11's and an A4, I've got an A4 and drove awhile with 4:30's and 26" tires. 75-80 mph = 3K rpm, with a locked converter. Hope this helps any, didn't think of the wire deal, probly would've tried that before cutting.

i've had 28" bfg's and 28" slicks on my car for a while now. All I've had done is when i had 315 nittos a while back, I just cut out the bumpstops and it's worked fine... possibly a little BFHing could be required, but I didn't have to go crazy with mine... and I don't miss the bumpstops at all... just can't to jump the car..

I'm going through this now. I just put on 28x10.5x15 MT ET drags, I adjusted my lower control arms to get them what I thought to be aligned properly in the wheel well.. when i test drove them, going about 60mph, then giving it abut 10% throttle, i felt them rub and shake the car a bit. If I'm in first or 2nd gear and I punch it, i can't feel them hitting. weird. I can't seem to find where the hell they are hitting. i have trimmed both my rear quarter panels (bumper side). any advice?
