Default Best traction on a non drag radial

Just like the question asks. Anyone have a good sugestion on what tire that is not a drag radial but has some good traction. Only reason i ask is because i drive in the rain every now and then and NY winter are long and cold. DRs would suck all winter long since the floor temp is cold as hell.

315/35/17 out back on a 10.5 wheel +44 offset. Probably like a 275 up front 9 in. wheel. I hear those run real wide so maybe even a 295 out back.
