What new tires to get?
First off the car will not be driven during the winter so I dont need tires good for the winter. I want sometihng with pretty good wet traction though, and after that somthing pretty sticky but still a street tire, I have 17x9.5/17x11 TT2's also what sizes should i get. I was considering the Toyo T1-S tires but I cant find them for sale anywere online? also should I got with a 315 in the rear? Or go to a 285-305?

If you are going to drive in the rain then Goodyear GS-D3's are great. They have good dry traction as well. I have the same wheels as you and run 275 up front and 315 in the rear. The 315's are huge! They are quite a bit wider than other 315s.

im kinda in the same dilemma. I want the F1's but they are expensive as hell so I am thinking about getting the F1's in the rear and some knock offs with the same looking tread pattern in the front. Do you think that will look stupid or what? By the way this is off topic but the reason I need new tires is because last october I bought sumitomo htr-z's and they are already bald! Great price but seriously they are the shittiest tires I have ever bought! I dont care how cheap they are, dont buy them!

I dont mind having diferent tread patterns in the front/rear if the F1's grip like those T1-S tires then I may look into those, Toyo replaced the T1-S with a tire called the T1-R with is basically the same pattern with siphons on the sides, only problem is i cant find them any bigger than a 265 for a 17" rim, I may just go with the 315F1's in the rear and Find a pair of used 275 T1-S's or other tire for the front, dont really want a "cheap Knock off" but somthing a little less than the F1's

I commented to your dad about the nearly bald back tires . Nitto 555's are pretty good. I've had them in the past, Tim has them and I just bought a set for the back. Also the Firehawk Wide Ovals are just as good too but the largest they come is 285/40/17. Alot of vette owners run them

Goodyear GSD3 or BFGoodrich would be my two choices...BFGoodrich makes (i believe)two (maybe three) different tires that would fit our cars... Just remember when it comes to tires- You get what you pay for, and if I were you- I'd shell out the dough! I feel that tires are one of the biggest if not the biggest factor in how your car handles, drives, and what keeps you on the road- no matter how much HP you've got or how you suspension handles. Tires are what keeps you on the road!

Go with KUMHO MX or the Firestone Wide ovals good tires and prices around 500-700.
LIke the others said I woudln't go with the cheapest tires...but I wouldn't go with the highest either..usually the best bang for the buck is the high middle. I did a ton of research and them tires were my winners. I have them both on my car(lt1 and ls1 mx on one and oval on the other) both are good tires!

I saw a few reviws on other forums and people seem to like them, I kinda do too from what ive read, but I dont see them for sale anywere, the KDW2 looks very similar maybe it was repplaced with that, and if so then 255 is the biggest size they have for a 17" rim

MAN ALL TIRES SUCK, the GSD3's apparently have shitty tread wear, and im not paying that much for a tire that wont last, the KDW NT's are perfect but only goto 285's, a bunch of other tires are great but dont come in 315's, the g-force KD looks ok but also has a low treadwear rating, and I guess with some research I may jsut have to go with the dunlop SP8000's i have now, besides the GSD3's, WHY ISNT AND AGGRESIVE LOOKING TIRE MADE IN 315 ????
