Basically, when people cram 315s in the back, sometimes they rub on the inner fender. so, people take a Big Fuc#$% Hammer (BFH) and bang it in until the tire wont rub. Thats the jist of it, and im sure someone else will chime in with more info since i don't have the money to get big wheels and tires and hence have not done this yet.

depends on the offset of the wheel more than the tire i think. there is am inner fender lip that is undercoated. it is pretty flimsy, so u can beat it back with little effort. you could actually take some vice grips and pry it back if you wanted, so u wouldnt bang any of the undercoating off. there is also a spot neat the front of the inner fender well thats not a part of the lip....its actually a protrusion in the flat part of the well. it is also undercoated, but since its part of the flat space of the well, u have to beat it in.

Yup....and this is what it looks like when you're done hammering....
After that, you should spray some rubberized undercoating in the appropriate areas.
It's quite fun to do actually, just be careful not to hit the out fender when you take a good swing....lol

Looks like bump stops were cut out as well here.

I like my 11" rims! I'm running 11" and I still have my bump stops. I had my rear rims widened from 9" to 11", running 315's with 1.25" adapters. Mine only rubbed ever so slightly on HUGE bumps. Couple of love taps and all is good. Never had a problem since! Adapters are all good after a year also!! MANY MANY of burnouts and donuts on them with no problems!! I HOPE to get 8K miles outta this set of 315s.

Just learned about the BFH mod myself today. Put 18x10.5 zo6's in the back and they weren't even close. Started hammering away like crazy on the passenger side, then found out I had tons of room on the driver's side. It was a blast since I woke up today with the worst migrane of my life! Turns out after the shop did my rear end install, they didn't bother to adjust the panhard bar and get everything straight and plumb. The whole thing was jacked to the one side. I knew it felt weird back there especially when launching with MT et streets. She's all good now, with plenty of clearance for the 295's I wrapped the wheels with.
