Who has the best prices on mounting wheels?

Who has the best prices on mounting wheels? I went today to have 4 tires put on a set of rims and my usual hook up had left out early . In the past five years I had not had to pay over $10 a tire to mount and balance and I understand that is a friendly price to some and maybe average to others .
So , I went to Big 10 tire off Edward's Lake Road right next to the hook up just out of curiosity and they qouted me $40-$45 a tire and that is the wheels already off the rims and not even having to take them off a car or anyhting (I had the wheels and tires in the back of my truck ). I said , "How much again ? " then dude said $40-$45 again and I laughed and walked off not even looking back .
Now that I have seen the range of putting tires on a set of rims I am just left with the question of , how much do yall pay a tire mounted on the rim and balanced ?

I remember Sears charging me something like $20/tire mounted and balanced.
Discount Tire/America's Tire charged me $11/tire. Cheapest chain store I've found so far, but I know other small businesses that'll do $8/tire.
