Default TomZwheels - Z06 rims - defect ???

So I got my Black Z06 Motorsport rims from TomZwheels.
18x10.5 rears and 17x9.5 fronts.

One 18" rims has a small ding, which appears to be caused by shipping. The box was pretty banged up. It is small, but visible none the less. Do you think I should request a replacement ?

The other rim has 3 rivets that are visibly sticking out too high. I do not know if the three rivets are just too large, or they were not screwed in all the way. It definitely caught my eye right away.

I emailed Tom and attached the pictures, but he is not responding.

Am I overreacting? Would you guys complain????

In addition I requested 4 SS decals, and I got 2 corvette decals...

I am definitely not happy. It seemed like a sloppy shipping and poor quality. Maybe I just got bad luck on these two rims. Both are 18" rims too

SMALL DING

UNEVEN RIVETS

He seems to be pretty busy all the time and I know he mentioned something about being away at SEMA. Maybe he isn't even in the office. Try calling the store and see what they can do for you.

I wouldn't be happy either.

I had a couple of things I needed to get right (none of Tom's fault) and he went out of his way to help so ... he will make it right I am sure

Posts like this are fine but please make sure to finish up the thread with the results of your service request. Posts like this can really hurt good vendors if the original poster forgets to follow up with the results.

The nick would bother me. I don't know how the bolts/rivets work but if you can just screw it in then I would be fine with that. Probably ought to use some threadlock.

The Rivets dont seem to be in all the way. I wouldn't blaim that on TomZwheels I would blame it on the wheel company. Let us know how this all works out

I would be pissed. When I order a wheel I expect it to be perfect, no dings or defects when it gets to me. He may be busy so just keep trying.

When I recieved my rims from TOM they were awesome, only thing is my buddy came over (whos been in the wheel/tire business for years @ a major wheel shop) and said, "hey were these mounted already before you got them?" I replyed with no I got new ones. Either way, whether they were mounted for show/display whatever- I dont care, got a huge deal on these through TOM and Im sure that he will fix whatever issues you have! Plus Im sure you got a good deal? Either way, just be patient- he'll come around!

This is not the post i need to see, i have bought rims form quite a few places afs, oe wheel, and now add Hp to the list, i have had nothing but problems, first off i receive crap, call back and i get the "huh we never have had a problem you are the first" and then we'll hand check the next set, well ray charles must inspect them because they are **** too. the ups man sees more of my rims than i do. thats bull **** my friend was told when he bought his blem mustang wheels that the industry standard is to look at a rim about 2 feet away........ if i want to look at a new rim 6 inches in front of my face i sould be able to without flaws. tom is all i have left i talked with his daughter and she reassured me that everything would be fine, but im still scared because ive heard that before. everyone says good things about tomswheelz, i hope i can add to the list when i get my rims... for the price of some of these wheels i dont understand how we still have problems.. (end rant) but as far as your rims, id be pissed, the first pic of the nic i agree that is a shipping issue, the second pic looks like the rivets are not screwed in all the way. did you try to screw them in at all?? good luck let us know how it turns out.. please. post some pics of the whole rims id like to see them.

I would not be happy for sure. If I pay for new, I expect zero defects, I would ship them back and ask for replacements. The Pic's speak for themselves.

OK, thanks for replies guys. I will follow up on this one with TomZWheels, and I'll report the outcome on this thread.
I hope I won't have to pay for shipping. It's $40 for a two rims.... I know Tom insures the rims, so if they came with a ding it's UPS's fault...

I'll get back to you guys for sure.
