Default what do i need to change from 16" to 17" wheels

I have a 98 non-ws6 trans am with chrome 16" wheels. I want to upgrade to 17". What do i need to change to make the speedomer acurate? Is there anything else i need to do. I want to use stock WS6 wheels.

Thanks

nothing, when you go to a 17 your tires will be a smaller profile and the overall diamater will still be the same.

Just make sure that the tires you get have an 25.7 in. overall diameter to keep the spedometer accurate. The tire size to achieve this is 275/40 rim 17.

Good Luck,

Cheers!

Both of the above are correct. If you are looking for a set of polised WS6 wheels with 275-40-17 tires, PM me, as I have a set for sale!

As long as overall tire size stays the same, the wheel diameter doesn't matter
Go For It!!
