Default New TT2's question on tires

Hey guys I am looking at some new 1 piece TT2s they just came out with, they are 17X9 with 6 3/4 BS and a 45mm offset for the front, and a 17X10.5 with 7.5 BS and a 44mm offset so they will fit no prob but here is my question. I run more of a drag setup at this time and run my big and littles on the street with NO POWER STEERING which isn't bad with skinnies, so I was wondering if you think I could get away with running a 245/45/17 tire on a 9" wide wheel for the fronts? I wiantto run a 315/35/17 for the rear. So lets here your input on the front tire size please.

Oh here is a Pic of the wheels!!

those wheels are ttms. I would run a 275 on the front. 245s will look way to skinny.

I have a set of those, not on the car yet, but this is what the Nitto 555RII's 275's and 555R's 315's look like. I live in Canada these won't be on for at least a couple months

Sorry thats all I have for now.

They will be going on in place of my Zr1's.

Hope that helps. These sizes seem to be perfect.

Those are for my collection storage and toting that collection around when needed.

I will likely retire the stock WS6 rims or use them for road racing events only. I'm going to swtch to 315's at all four corners with 11" ZR1's in 07 for autocrossing.

Dan, it will be considerably harder to maneuver the car around in parking lots. Do you have a manual rack or is the stock PS pump just looped?

What is the best place to get a set of those wheels? I really like the look of them and would like to get a set for my 2000 Pewter T/A.

I got mine from Rotan ------------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>

But I know TomsWheels is supposed to be good too.---->>>>>>>>

They are very reasonably priced too.

I want to get PMD center to fit them. I like the nostalgia factor. I'm a product of the 60's.
