I got quoted a price during a thread...and i call tomz wheels up to order the quoted price...and they tell me thats wrong....i dont know who i talked to but i think its messed up...

The wheels would be 579. A set of HTRZ II in a 275/35/18 and a 285/35/18 combo would be another 679. Mounting, balancing, and road force testing would be done at no charge. Shipping would run from 80 to 160. There would be no sales tax unless you are located in Texas.

You have no need to start a thread and say all this, Tom would do anything to please all his customers and would make it up to them if smth had gone wrong, in your case, misunderstanding. I'm sure when he sees this, he'll pm you.

Well i thought i would come to the forum because i did not know what to do....i talked to this guy i did not know who it was...but it frustrates me that i got quoted a price and i can not buy it now....im only 18 and everything on my car for is paid by me and im attending college now so funds are extremly low so this is what made my day by tom helping me out with the price...but then i got shot down....maybe this was the wrong thing to do to post publicly but i didnt know where to take it after the guy said nope thats the wrong price....So sorry for shooting down tomz wheels but i wish i could get this figured out....

I just talked to Z28 97 and went back and reviewed the thread. This was a thread about the C5 Z06 wheels. As above he did ask about the C6 wheels and a couple of posts later I replied that I would need the sizes. I came back on the forum later and saw this post:

Since this was a thread on C5 Z06 wheels and there was not anything in that post that referenced the C6 wheels I gave him prices on C5 wheels and tires. If you read the entire thread I think you can see that there may have been a misunderstanding on the quote and I am pretty sure that Z28 97 can see that. I do not feel there would be cause in this case to sell a set of wheels below my cost. What I will do is in the morning check my costs and PM Z28 97 the best deal I can on the C6 wheels.

My wheels from TomZwheels arrived on Tuesday. After ordering them I realized Iwas mistakenly not given the sale price from the posting in the sponsors link but one simple phone call and the mixup was fixed.

I would charge him double since he was a dick about it. All you are doing is showing people that by being an ******* to the sponsors you might get a better deal. My opinion would be to sell at the price you gave him to begin with. Thats just me though. I will be getting a set of those ZO6 motorsports from you in the very near future, just waiting on the motor to be done before I spend any more money on a car that has been sitting for 3 months.
