Default Which Drag Radial is better

BFGoodrich Drag Radial, Nitto 555R Drag Radial or Mickey Thompson Drag Radial. On my old setup I like the Nittos. I have now added H/C,headers,gears,catback,bumped up my shot, and 4000 stall. Which drag radial works best for you guys. Also they will be going on 17's

the mickey thompsons are the BEST hooking drag radial out there, PERIOD. bfg's and nitto's don't even hold a candle to the mt's. nitto's require a ton of heat to even hook at all, and bfg's wear as quick as the mickey thompsons and don't hook as good.

Nitto - Longest life , worst hook/traction
BFG - Middle tread life, 2nd best hook/traction close to a MT when hot/clean
MT - Worst Life, Lots of traction

MT has a slightly softer compound than the BFGs and less tread which allow it to hook up a bit better but the tread wear is somewhere around 2x as fast as a BFG. For a daily driver i would get the BFGs due to wear & tread amount. nittos are out of the question for hooking unless your car is stock.

I agree with the above minus one thing - I would not even use the BFG's on a daily driver, unless you don't mind buying a new set every 6-8k miles.

On that note, I have had my Nitto 555R's on for 3k miles and they still look new, though I haven't spun them that much yet. They don't wear much during normal use and I wouldn't be surprised to see 10-15k out of them which is truly amazing for a tire that hooks like it does when hot. It's a great dual-purpose tire.

However I will be stepping up to BFG's or maybe even the MT when their new version is out. The Nittos are just too easy to spin with this converter, and won't work at all with future plans.

My car has mickey's on it, and I drive with them on the street, they wear fast but hook like no other, so if ultimate traction is your goal....mickey's
