Default BFG drag radials on stock wheels?

Has anyone put a drag radial on their stock 16x8 wheels? My old ones are sitting in my shed right now, and might not ever get used again. I'm too damn lazy to switch them in the winter. So I want to maybe put some drag radials on them. From what I understand, a 255 is the widest that I should go. I've seen BFG DRs in 255-50-16 for about 155 a piece. Those that have put DRs on their 16x8s, are they worth it? Do they hook?

I had 245 Nittos on my stock 8" TA wheel's and they hooked decent. Better than street tires

If you do use them for track wheels, get at least some ET streets, DR's are really for daily driving and won't hook as well as an ET street.

They work great - especially the Mickey Thompson's and BFG's. 16 inch wheels allow for a little more sidewall and that helps.
