Polished Or Chrome?!!!!!!
Which one would you chose for a pewter Rs camaro? I need all the help I can get! I heard Polished is a PITA to keep clean but i cant find chrome wheels and tires in my price range. HELP!!!!

Chrome also starts to cheap away on the inside and around the bead... i work at a tire shop .. and there hasnt been one chrome wheel in that hasnt had to have the bead sealed at least 3 times. Chrome is junk. Polished aluminum is what i have now and they are hard as hell to keep clean. So pick the lesser of the evils .. whatever that is.

I will prefer polished in most applications, but Pewter is one of the few fbody colors that can handle chrome very well. Either one that you prefer would be fine IMO.

Polished could be a pain in the butt, but if you take care of them the way it should be, polished wouldn't be a prob then, but if you are too lazy and look for the easiest way to keep your wheels clean, get chrome.
Also, some wheels look better chrome than polished and vice versa on every vehicle, which ones are you thinking of purchasing for your car?

Chrome: Windex and paper towels, a couple of minutes. Polished: Polish, Powerball, hours, and they may still look cloudy.
and by the way...a well chromed wheel will not chip away as long as it is kept clean, cheap chrome might, but they are still easier to keep clean...

I have forged Coddington wheels and they are a PITA to keep clean and shiney - but damn they look nice when the are. IMHO, polished look a little nicer but chrome is easier to keep clean. I think chrome wheels are generally a little heavier as well.
