315/35R17 Tires!!!
I've been looking for a set of 315/35R17s for the rear wheels I want to order, and I can't find any good tires for a decent price. I found the Sumitomos for 99 bucks a pop, but those suck a fart out of my ***. I know Nitto and BFG makes 315s, but for a buttload of cash. Anyone know if Kumho, Fuzion, or any of the like brands make a good 315?

I'm in the same boat as you are. I can't decide which 315's I want.
Sumitomo's I've heard don't hook for ****. BFG's and Goodyears seem like a waste of money to me because I don't drive it much (nothing like $1000 sitting in the garage not being used).
I had 275 Nitto DR's and I hated the way they threw loose gravel/sand up on the car.
blah, I can;t make up my mind.

The F1 GS-D3s were on backorder back in September 06'. I got tired of waiting and went w/ BFG KDs. They had been on b/o at least since May 06'. If I were ya'll, I would expect those F1s anytime soon.

The Nitto 315 DR should cost about $165 or so. Not a lot, really. Way cheaper than the GSD3's. I seem to have gotten about the same mileage on them.
I'm at the point of maybe having my rear rims narrowed so I can keep the big lip and the offset, but run a 275-285 tire. Check out the pic, does that look OK or should I stick with the wider 315?

There's more to a tire than looks.
It's the lack of choices in 315's that's making me want to switch to a 275, but I still want the tire to stick out and have the fat lip on the 11" rim. So if I narrow the rim I can have both. You wouldn't even be able to tell unless you look in the rear and squat down some. From all the other angles you'd swear it was a 315.

The Sumis supposedly have a wider section width than a GSD3, but some of you guys say that the GSD3's are wider than the Sumis. I have the Sumis only because they were cheap and were suppose to be wider than other 315's. Are the measurements on the manufacturers websites not accurate?
I'm not worried too worried about traction because I have set of Weld Magnums with M/T drag radials if I need to hook.

The GSD3's are really fat. I had to do extra pounding and roll more of the fender lip when I switched from the Sumi's to the GSD3's.
It also depends on the tire sidewalls as some sidewalls will flex and rub more in the corners as well as the PHR. I had to ditch my poly PHR and get a rod ended unit to finally get rid of the rubbing.
