Unhappy 315's worse mpg / h.p.?

Stupid question of the night. My gas mileage has recently took a turn for the worse again. The only thing I could pin point would be the addition of the 17x11's in place for the stock snowflakes. I know I added alot of tire. Does that effect gas mileage or E.t.'s? I went from 20 mpg to about 16. Thanks in advance guys!!

You shouldn't have lost that much, but it is more rotating mass, it'll cost you some HP/ET/MPG.

I haven't driven my car, but my new wheels and tires are 4 lbs lighter per corner than my stockers. I am expecting a higher coeficient of friction but better gas mileage and ET.

^ But you weren't coming from 16x8's with 245's on them.

The cold weather is a big factor in gas mileage!

My mileage didn't really change, but I dropped 13hp going from stock 16x8's to 17x9.5's and 17x11's.
