With my car in the air and the axle hanging the 275/50/15's do not fit. They hit the jounce spacer area of the inner fender. I'm going to have to massage it most likely. I am not and will not be running spacers.

Yep with the car in the air they will hit the bump stop. But with my car on the ground they fit perfect, I didn't have to touch anything. My car is lowered 1.75". Either way, you shouldn't have to do much if anything.

275s shouldn't require bumpstop shaving. SS come with 275s stock. 26.1 tire diameter same as stock as well.

A 275/50/15 M/T DR is almost 1" wider than a 275/40/17 ZR tire.

Mickey Thompson's website suggests a 8.5" rim(+ or- 1") for the 275/50R15. Steve from SJM suggested this was lowballing it. Actually, more like 9.5"(+ or- 1") I would tend to believe him as he sells custom fitted Bogarts wheels for f body, and other, applications. He's been doing it for a long time. So, that gives a 275/50R15 a range of 8.5" to 10.5". 275/40R17 is listed as a 9"-11" rim width in the Wheel/Tire FAQ over at CZ28.com. Backspacing could take care of any fitment problems one would have with a 275/50R15 tire.

On a 10" wheel with 7.5" BS my 275/50/15's run the jounce spacer, and are 1" wider at the tread line than my 275/40/17's mounted on 17x9.5" wheels.

My 10" Prostars and a 6.5" bs with 275/50s fit perfect. I didn't ever have the car up in the air though, but I assume with the 1" less bs they MIGHT clear the bumpstop.

The 165/80 is the popular size for the front. With the 325s usually there is some BFH'ing and possible fender rolling and bumpstop modifications.

Thats what I run, it does take a lot of modifications to make them fit though.

Now by "alot" you mean, cutting the bumpstop, "massaging" the inner fender and rolling the lip on the fender, right? I'm lookin at buying a fender lip roller. Do you have to be a body shop kinda guy to do this or can any experienced mechanic do this without buckeling the sheet metal?

my buddy fit 15 x10 prostars with 7.5 backspacing with a 325/50/15 tire. he had to cut the bumpstop and whack the inside a little with a hammer.

you may have to get a panhard to center the rear.

no fender rolling necessary, he was at stock ride height.
