Will 26" Tires Fit?
#3
Does it rub anything important up front with the wheels turned all the way?
Would you say a 26.5 is feasable?
I'm thinking there are a couple of advantages. Lets say I run a 26.5 tire. This will make the gap from the tire to the fender lip 1/2" smaller.
First, I can raise the car's ride height about 1/4". This would allow for more suspension travel and ground clearance.
And secondly, this will still make the car look 1/4" lower than it was before due to the smaller fender lip gap.
In theory this sounds good, but I'm not sure in reality.

I'm pretty sure the front is going to be the limiting end of the car.
Derek_02, do you mean those replacable, flexable inner liners? Did they rub on the top or just on the front and rear like when turning?

OK, I found some pics of a car with a 26.5 rear tire. Looks good.

So I'm thinking a 26-26.5 on the front to match would be a good look.

Yes it the black plastic flexible one. They rubbed holes in the front and the rear of the tire with the bigger of the hole in front of the tire. Thats all it rubs though so i'm not real concerned about it.

OK, I know what you mean. My 275's rubs there a tiny bit on the front. It mostly just pushes it forward so it hasn't come close to going through or anything. So if we use that as an indicator, then about a 26" front should be OK, but larger may be pushing things.
I could probably go 26 front and 26.5 rear and have it look real nice.

they are nitto drag radials.. the fronts are 275/40/17s on 52mm offset 17x9.5 they fit fine.. no need to go bigger than 275 in the front

dont run bigger than stock on the front.. there is absolutely no reason.. 26.5 doesnt throw off the abs if you have it in the rear with stock height in the front
all running a taller tire in the front is going to do is jack it up and make it handle worse.. even a slot of the guys running drag wheels with 28s in the back use stock size in the front..
keep in mind... your rear tires are going to wear quicker and loose height faster leaving the front of your car higher...
