Default 17x9.5/17x11 vs. 17x9/17x10.5

So since my old rims got destroyed, I'm in the market for new rims. I use to have American Racing TT2's 17x9.5 all around. I had the centers painted black myself. Here's an old pic.

Anyways I want to do the same thing, but bigger tires in the rear. I was shopping around prices and noticed the TTm's with black painted center already, and slightly different design but still as nice IMO. They are different sizes than TT2's, .5 smaller all around.

Does anyone have good profile and rear shots of TTm's so I can get an idea how much smaller they look compared to TT2's 17x11's? You think I'd notice?

I don't have any pics off hand, but the TTMs are only .5" thinner, but you still slap a 315 on there, so unless you have a real keen eye, I don't think you'll notice. MAYBE the TT2s will stick out a bit further, but I believe the offsets are very similar between the two (+44 I think?) BTW your car looks awesome.

The rear TTM's have a good sized lip on the rear and gives the car a nice stance......

yeah, I agree. I like the TTM a little better than the TTII. I ordered the TTMs and the backspacing for the 17x10.5 wheel is a +44. I believe it's the same as the TTIIs.

I like the TTM's but for some reason they remind me of the mustang Bullitt wheels IMO. They look good, but when they have anthricite centers it just looks like they belong on a mustang. They are great looking wheels, but i still think i like the TTII's better.

You can de-Bullit the the TTM like I did by adding a different center cap. On a black rim and car they would look really nice IMO.

I should have my car out in a couple weeks and will post pics once the rims and tires get installed.

The front rim is still the original TTM center cap.

I even think the old SS center caps will dit the same, but I have not try them, only the PMD ones.

I did have ZR1 17x11 with 315 Michelin Pilot Sports before and sat them side by side, but I think it is the Nitto 555r that made it look narrower more than the rims width. Sorry no pics of that though.
