i have 275/40/17's on my Z. They are good enough that i bought a second set. For the price you can't beat 'em. They wear kinda fast if you can't lay off the pedal though. ~Cole~

I have the regular/older version and they work fine for daily driving and driving in the rain. I wouldn't race on them though.

I hated them for no traction at all they make you think that your car is making 700hp at idle.
I would go with nitto's they have a good thread wear and good in rain .

They're a decent daily driver tire. You won't get much traction out of them, but they're hard to beat for the money. I've had 2 sets of the 315s before.

Do you guys know if the sumitomo 285/35/18 would look right on some 18x10.5 ZO6 wheels? I have been looking at 295's but the price of the sumitomos made me think twice about them.

sumitomo runs pretty narrow, and the regular htrz suck ***** for performance, but like everyone else said for a DD and the price they are OK. they defineately make you think your car is some fast **** though lol. i think my 225 snow blizzaks snow tires hook better than the 315 sumitomo lol

If you drive your car like a normal person to get around the Sumitomo's are for you. Performance wise they suck.

Hard to beat the price on them. I ordered a set of four 18" Sumitomos yesterday from Tire Rack and it came out to $554 shipped to my door.

Please click on the Tire Rack button on the side of the main page. It is a tracking link that lets them know where the visit came from. Please do not post regular Tire Rack links here, we do not get any referrals unless the correct link is used.

Here is the actual link:
