Default Toyo T1R Tires

Hey

Im looking to get a set of Toyo T1R tires for my camaro. 18x10 in the front and 18x11 in the rear. The sizes im looking to get are 275/35 front and 295/35 rear. How are these toyo tires? I did some searching and they seem to be pretty grippy. Are they going to look good on the rim widths that I have? I dont like when the sidewall is kinda pulled in, i like the sidewall more flat (Alot of tread width) Will I get that with these tires? How is the ride? Noise? Traction? Cornering? Just looking for some opinions.

Anyone have pics of these tires on an 11" rim? Or even a 10.5" rim from the side so I can see? Give me your overall opinion, I would go with GSD3 but I dont really like those tires as I have had em in the past. Thanks

I've got the T1S, and fell in love the second I took my first corner. I've had many different tires in my day, and these seem to be the best for cost, life, and sticky...ness?

I had them on my 17/18 combo. I like them alot. Less road noise then the BFG's and goodyears that i had before. Traction was pretty decent too. Awesome in the rain. Road noise was also more quiet then any other tire i have had on it. Overall i liked them alot, trearwear is nice too, i put about 7k miles on them and you cant even tell. Sorry i dont have any decent pics, but on an 18x10.5 rim they fit perfect.
295/35/18 on the back 18x10.5 wheel.

tread life is awesome on these tires and the grip is also the ****, I'd say they should last at least 20,000 if you treat them semi nice it all depends on your right foot ...They are really good for being a street tire but then again they are expensive as hell...so that makes sense you get what you pay for in this case...I had about 400rwhp/415rwtq and the most trouble i got from them was when they chirped second ONCE...My car is an auto with long gears though so that might be why too. Anyways yea awesome tires They were a 285/35/19 by the way

I've got t1r's and I love them. Pretty quiet, grippy as hell and seem to be going the distance. Click on my link to see them on my car, got them with the rims from groupawheels.com.

If you guys are looking for the cheapest place for these tires, send me a PM. They're not a sponsor on this board.

Oh and btw I love these tires so far. I've had Toyo's on other cars in the past and I've always liked them. I'm surprised that they're not more popular.

I had the opposite impression as soon as I took my first corner..lol They were REALLY sloppy in the corners. I had them mounted on a 17x9 rim and were 275/40/17's. IMO, the BFG KD and Michelin PS2 are a MUCH better tire in terms of cornering stability and responsiveness. Although those T1S's sure hooked from a dig though.

t1-r vs. gs-d3, which has the best straight line traction? something that will bite on the street. and if the gs-d3 is better, by how much (worth the extra price)?

hope this isnt a high jack, b/c he mentioned both of these tires in his original thread.

If u like the sidewall more flat i'd look more into 305 or even 315s for an 11" wheel
