Default anyone else have this problem?

sounds funny I know but ever since I swapped my z06 wheels and tires off of my nbm automatic z-28, to weld draglites, my car has run like 2/10ths slower e.t times..went from an 8.41 to an 8.6, 8.7???wtf!! and I just had a tuneup done, and keep the car maintenance in check and on point so its not my motor, and just had my tranny redone race ready so its not the automatic either...could it be the weight of the wheels or something like that?any suggestion would help tremendously!!!thanx

oh and this is a stock car, just slp loudmouth catback, no cats thats it...

what size and kind of tires are on the drag lights? What were the weather conditions? MANY variables.

Were all the wheels and tires the same diameter? Did traction change? Old 60 ft vs new 60 ft.

yeah i believe it did...old 60ft was like 1.9 all day at least now cant get past the 2.0 mark on these...the welds are 15x3.5 up front and 15x10.5 in the rears. 7.5 backspacing

the tires are skinnies up front with brand new bfg street radials in the rear 255/50/15, i know theyre not drag radials but man do they just spin off the line no matter what tire Ive put on em!

um a 255 is pretty skinny for a 10.5" wheel and chances are the tires aren't the best for traction. You NEED a wider tire in the back for some better 60ft times and either a slick or a drag radial for some real traction.

Most people run 275's on 9-9.5'' wheels so I would still agree with ws6wrx to go bigger, like a 285-295 and get some drags and you should pull in some good numbers for sure.
