Default Right tire size for new rims. Need Help.

I had stock 245/50R16 on my TA and bought new Saleen style Firebird rims. I bought tires 265/35ZR18 but think they are to narrow in height and wrong size. Rims are 18" x 9". Looks like the wheel well gap is alittle big and I would like to narrow the gap and get bigger thread to make the car look better. What tire size would do this? Any advice would help a lot so I can get them ordered. Thanks

Wheels are 18" x 9. Which Tire give the biggest height with this size rim?

great site. Comparing the tire height to a 265/35-18 to a 275/35-18 we're only talking 3.65 to 3.79" sidewall height and 25.30 - 25.58" in diameter. Maybe it'll look different on the car but I hate to buy new tires if it won't show much or cover the gap much better? The way I'm seeing it it looks about the same size? Maybe just lowereing the car 1.5" will solve the problem?

275/35ZR18 would have been the perfect tire. Same OD as stock.
