tire shine question
hey guys i was wondering if you can point me to a product that can:
shines my tires
clean my tires
and protect
not harm clear coat on stock aluminum rims
so far i've tried stp son of a gun and it was good and the can lasted me 6mos. but i heard that it can damage the paint. i dont have a garage so the wind gets it everywhere. yesterday i bought a product caLLED black magic tire wet shine. its not a sparay it had a pad tip attached to the bottle and you squeeze as you move along. but i found this product to be really messy. so please feel very free to point me to the right direction. thanks

I use the Meguiars vinyl/rubber cleaner (forgot the #) first, then spread their Endurance tire shine on evenly, let it sit for a while, then wipe the excess off for a "matte" finish shine. I'm NOT a big fan of the ghetto G/pimp/baller/U.W.s overly shiny sidewalls.

thats what i bought yesterday. i used it today and it was messy, got all over my fingers, it was time consuming and not very user friendly imo. i love the shine it gave though. i havent driven the car yet since the shine but im scared to drive cause i heard in another thread about the use of this product, that when driving, all the black gel gets on the side of the car. seems like your enjoying yours though. but im done with it.

First off, clean your tires before you dress them. You wouldn't wax over a dirty car, so why would you try to put gloss on a dirty tire. A good tire/wheel brush and some soapy water will do the trick.
I've been using Tropi-Care's TC-15 tire dressing for a few weeks now. I like the finish it leaves, but application takes some getting used to. It's VERY runny, so getting it from the applicator pad to the tire is a little tricky. Once you get it on the tire, it leaves a really nice finish, without being too glossy (which is what I don't like about Meguair's Hot Shine).

Bleche-White is the best tire cleaner I have ever used hands down! Use that first then shine them up with a dressing of your choice. I use Black Magic Gel on a rag. I just put some gel on the rag and rub it into the rag 1st so it doesn't run or drip on my TT2, then I go ahead and rub it into the tire. This helps so its not all packed on there and it won't sling off when you go driving. Also by rubbing it in and taking off the excess your tire will look deep, black, and new instead of that shiny reflecting stuff that some people pile on.

DON'T use bleach white if you have a raw alum. wheel that stuff will eat though it and it leaves nasty white streaks on the wheel. I had to wet sand and re-polish my tt2's after trying that just my .02 though

I used this cheap stuff called blue coral. Its made to clean rims but it sucks on rims so i tried it on the tires. worked ausome. And to shine the tires seriously dont laugh but i found this stuff called monster garage tire shine. its was three bucks and my tires still look wet and its been almost two weeks.
oh yah and for the rims try Simple Green.
