Default What new rims and slicks?

I am going to buy slicks for my car, I have seen MT streets are a very good 28" choice.
Would you go with a 28" tire? Correct me if im wrong but the MT streets are better for 6spd for better wrinkling?
What rims do you guys buy 15X10 right?
WHat backspacing?
Do you screw the slicks to the rims?

Thanks

stock gears and 400 whp, i would not go with a 28 inch tall tire. I would go with a 26 inch stiff sidewalled slick. 6 speed cars work better with a stiff sidewall.

Prostars 15X10,
7.5 in backspacing
You can if you notice the tire slipping on the wheel at very low psi.

Ok so et streets have a stiffer sidewall then?
Yea i updated my sig. for new rearend. So maybe 28" at this point is too much, 26" then?

What are you comparing them to? I don't really understand your post.

I recommend a true stiff sidewalled slick, not a Street Slick.

If you are asking between the ET street RADIALS and normal ET Streets, the ET street non-radials will hook up better.

28inch tire is WAY too much tire for that gear/hp. It will slow you down.

Yes, but there are 2 versions of ET streets and there are many different comounds of ET Drags.

ET Drags are what i am recommending, in a stiff sidewall..

Did some more reading, and unless im mistaken the 15X10 requires some caliper grinding? Thats doable, everyone do this for 10" drag rims?
What width are the slicks like 10.5" tw?
Thanks

You'll have to grind if you choose weld prostars, but you have the $$$ go with bogart and there will be minimal to no grinding involved.

Unfortunately i just did a little research and there is not a stiff sidewall slick available in 26inch that i could find. Your next best thing is a 26X10X15 ET Drag L8 compound

So being you said get a stiffer sidewall for an m6, would it make much of a difference to get a 16" rim since i dont need all that wrinkling surface anyway? Would you still need to grind at all with a 16" X 10" wheel?
