Default Front wheels rubbing against brake caliper

I just put on my TTII's (2 17 x 9.5 and 2 17 x 11) and it sounds like it's rubbing up front but sometimes the sounds goes away when braking. The previos owner put on some slotted brake rotors, my only guess is that this slightly altered the position of the caliper and is causing it to rub against the wheel.

Any solutions

You could possibly grind down the offending part.

it is a pretty close fit..but i never had any problems.. if its grinding im sure its only alil bit.. just take the wheels off and look for any signs of grinding.. if ur calipers are painted..check for parts where paint has come off..and inside the back part of wheels..if you find any just grind alil..shouldnt need much.

How bad would it be to let it wear itself out?

not a good idea.....the idea here is to KEEP the metal on the rim, while removing a bit from the caliper to keep it from scraping

I had the same problem the day I got mine on. Just take the wheels off and grind the bottom of the caliper down. If you let them grind till the spot wears down, the metal on the wheel will chip and scratch as well. Trust me I saw it happen on another car.

I wouldn't use a spacer because then it changes the offset a little. Just do a little grinding where it is rubbing! Being that the problem is intermittent it shouldn't be that much material to remove!

What do you suggest I use to grind it? I'm kinda limited to tools available to me at the moment
