I use them and like them, great tire for the price. I am about to order a new set for the front and some Nitto 555r tires for the rear. Wish they would make a DR that was as cheap as the HTRZ II

Otherwise known as sumisuckos or suminogos.

Good for DD or just for show. As long as you are driving normally they have decent traction in wet & dry. As soon as you put your foot to the floor though (the right foor that is ) then you see why they are so cheap.

Good for preserving your rearend though.

Are you sure your talking about the HTR 2's? I had the HTR+ and they were that way. mash the gas and nothing but a smoke show. the HTR 2's stick way better that the earlier htr's.

agreed, the HTRZ II's are ZR rated and have a great tread pattern. fun tire and gripped well on the dry pavement, and fair in wet. snow and ice are a NO NO!!!

I've put around 70,000 miles on the HTRZ-II tires (275/40/r17 all around) and like them alot. I get around 35,000 miles per set with quite a bit of highway driving and think they're great for all around driving. Obviously they're no race tire but I'd say they were better than the Goodyear F1s that came on the car new.

The traction in rain is pretty impressive in my opinion. When people in minivans and SUVs are slowing down due to heavy rain, I could easily keep going 70+ with zero traction problems. Even now with approximately 1/8" tread left I can still handle rain pretty well.

My only problems with these tires has been increasing noise and their tendancy to jerk the car all over the road after they've worn down. I'm now evaluating other tires and looking to try something else... more to have a change than anything else.

Ya like I said earlier the regular HTR's perform exactly like you said. but the HTR2's are night and day difference.
