Default wheel spacers

I was wondering what you guys think about wheel spacers. I just bought some vette wheels for my trans am and the rear wheels are pretty close to my fender walls i probably only need like a 5/16 or 1/4 wheel spacer. Will i still be able to leave my driveway sideways or are the wheel spacers gonna weaken the safety of the car????

as long as you have enuff thread available on the lugs to secure the wheel in a strong manner, i dont see any safety concerns

I've driven very hard on my 5/16" spacers. About 5 or 6 track passes, and some street racing. Havnt noticed any problems.

just posted this thread.. Probably same wheels as you unless yours are 9.5 w.. and running a 315-30.. shows you where your wheel will be.
